You need this then. I quite fancy a visit to the "other" chalfont. There are strong links with William Penn, and a lot of local names appear as towns and boroughs.

(sorry, no excuse for bad grammar!)

Chalfont, USA: I drove through there when in the US last year. I'm trying to remember, but it was in a county called Britain in the township of Buckingham or somesuch!

I found someone in Chalfont to see if they had a forum.

Here is a very interesting and detailed reply:-

Hmm, good question.

Not that I know of.  One complication is that Chalfont overlaps with New Britain in such a way that there are 3 civic/government bodies: Borough (village) of Chalfont, Borough of New Britain and Township (larger area of land, encompassing both boroughs) of New Britain.  But everyone in the Township of New Britain has a mailing address of Chalfont, PA. I've lived here * years and I still don't quite know why this is. Still, if I have to call 911/EMS, they go through a hassle to figure which police dept. to call
(Chalfont, N.B. Borough or N.B. Township).

Here is a tourism link to the area:

There is a relatively "famous" company here -- they make those goofy little carolers people display at Christmas -- the little hand-clothed ones with big "O" mouths.  Do they have them in England? Well if you ever see one and look at the bottom of its base, you will notice Chalfont, PA.

Right in Chalfont Borough, there is a police station, some shops &
restaurants, hairdressers, bars, gas stations, etc.  We have a good hardware (DIY) store, which is a dying breed here with giant stores like Lowe's and Home Depot taking over. Also there are some banks, pizzerias & surprisingly good Mexican and Indian food. A couple of catering facilities, a funeral home and small businesses like insurance guys and financial guys, lawyers, auto repair and light industry pretty much round out the borough. SEPTA's (Southeast PA Transit Authority) "R5" commuter train runs through town, stopping at "New Britain" and "Chalfont" stations on its way to Philadelphia.

In the township there is mostly residential housing, a few farms left, are 4 strip malls ("shopping plazas"), several corporate parks, a lot of daycares and at least one assisted living facility. CHOP -- Children's Hospital of Philadelphia -- and a cancer clinic recently opened large facilities right near the border with Montgomeryville. More miscellaneous professional buildings, some boutiques, a tea room (this is very new for us), pharmacies & convenience stores are about all else you will find.

Another landmark (if it's still considered Chalfont and not Doylestown) is the Shrine of Czestochowa, which I am told is an important catholic shrine to the Black Virgin. It sits high above Lake Galena/Peace Valley Park, at least half of which lies in Chalfont (shared with Doylestown).

Kids from Chalfont go to school in the Central Bucks County School District. So they go to elementary school near their homes and attend Jr. High & High Schools in Doylestown.

Other than that, much of the social and civic life here centers on our
neighbor Doylestown, PA.

You might also get some business info from the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce:

This was fun to think about, I hope it helps!

That's quite a response!

I wonder if they could spread the word about the
forum so people there can join us...
