Depends how many months you have left to run I suppose. They might not be doing food at all after April!
It is a shame, it's ok now to go for a bite to eat when you can't be bothered cooking, but it was somewhere to take friends and relatives for a proper sit down meal within walking distance of the village.
They tried to make it too posh with bottles of wine at £200 + and event evenings at £100 per person. All that was required was somewhere that people could sit at a proper table and eat. Even now they could have made it more into a bistro so that people could sit or eat, whatever they chose. But they have bought in low level sofas which are not ideal for eating a meal.

Tried it tonight, food still good. Saw a few people disappointed to find the restaurant gone even now, a group of older people had come for a meal out and weren't impressed.
I think it will do well in the current state, opens up the pub but it is still way way too pricey on the drinks.
Will be nice in summer now you can sit outside the back.
Finding a table that's comfortable to eat on is a problem though...

I have been in there a couple of times to eat. When I went for breakfast the service was terrible and the food took for ever (there were only 2 of us and only a total of 3 in the entire restaurant). When the food it did arrive it was cold and there was not a lot of it. When I have been for lunch the service has also been terrible and the food was only average at best and for the price I expect better.

eaten there about 4 times, not that impressed with the food, expensive for some items on the menu, the posh mashed potato does not give you the right to charge the earth !
atmosphere was ok, we usually go as part of a large group and often we seem to end up waiting along time for us all to be served.... longer than in many other establishments....
its ok, but no way in my top ten ! not even my top 20.

Worth becoming a member of the Greyhound club if you plan to eat out regularly. Gets you one meal free.
There is only the Greyhound and Village Hall doing food in the evenings so can get busy. Best to book.
