Went to see this last night at the Aldwych Theatre just off the Strand. It is such an amazing production! They have generally translated the film into a convincing stage production with some incredible costumes and sets that have a high 'wow' factor. There were a few small parts that seemed a little unnecessary (e.g. ballet dancers in one place) but on the whole the action was well paced and easy to follow (one member of our party had not seen the film). The score has the big numbers (e.g. Circle of Life) and some additions which on their own would probably be fairly unmemorable but with the dance, costumes etc fitted pretty well.

I would highly recommend this and it's a great one to take the kids to

Saw it a couple of years ago, really enjoyed it. I think  our seats were about two rows from the back, about 2000 feet up. No good if you get vertigo. We were a bit too far from the stage, so hope to go agian and sit a bit closer.

My #1 daughter has the stage show sound track on CD and reconds it much better than the film sound track.

The Lion King show at Animal Kingdom Florida is even better!

Saw the shows Australian production in Sydney when I went there for a few days a couple of months ago.  Loved it, one of the best shows I've seen (apart from the Perth, Australian production of Les Miserables in 1991, when my youngest daughter won a shared role of Young Cosette).  Love going to live shows.
