Definately not a wasp, and a Chalfont Wasp has a big flag for all the matches.

More on topic, I saw 2 dinky little lizards in my garden on  Sunday afternoon.  Will post the photo I took soon.

I'm not aware of any neighbours with ponds, and our nearest bird bath would be a bit of a killing ground for them.  They were about 3 inchs long.  Will upload pic tonight.

This one was taken using a 800mm lens, would you believe the amount of trees there are, The trouble is that the large lens picks up heat haze so its difficult to get a really crips clear image.
