http://www.savesmartiestubes.com/ As Nestle has decided to change Smarties tubes from the lovely round ones with the coloured top, into a hexagon shaped box, a petition has started to save the existing tube. |

I saw this on Richard and Judy I think last Thursday.
It probably is a marketing ploy, just as Heinz said it was getting rid of salard cream. |

I am mistaken... it was actually on BBC Breakfast
news, because I recall Bill Turnbull playing with the tube. I only occasionally catch a bit of Richard and Judy. It's always amusing to laugh at Richard. |

I read about this. It is a cost cutting exercise - it is cheaper to make the hexagonal containers than the traditional tubes apparently ....
