On Sunday 14th November the traditional Remembrance Day Parade will be held in the village. It sets off at 2.40pm but the roads (lower Nicol Road, Market Place, High Street between roundabout and Greyhound) will be closed from 2.15pm until the parade passes.
Huge thanks to our Parish Council for taking on the event (after the RBL stopped supporting marching parades) and helping us save this tradition going forward. |

I assume we will also have our gun fire on Gold Hill Common at 11am on the 11th too. Doesn’t matter how often I expect it, I always jump out of my skin but it is a wonderful tradition and memorial.
