Malc thats the one thanks, the house has changed a Abit the garden did meet the garden of the house opposite the end shop, Steve the house was built in1860 was a blacksmiths house and was called Anvil Cott so I was told, I have old cards that was sent to my dad in first world war it was then called Common Downs,I did not Know that the Britsh Legion was a garage Iwill add this to my collection. It's still called Anvil Cottage. I wish I'd have got a better photo but when I got up there I forgot what you said and just took photos of all the houses nearby!! Still, it gives you and idea of what it looks like now. Just not sure why I didn't walk a few paces further down before taking it!!

the blacksmiths name was Mr. Kingstone, his shop was on churchfield road oppersite Randalls

thats really interesting my grandfather lived in house 1900 till end of 40s then his second wife stayed on till about 1957 did Mr Kingstons shop have large wooden doors
