The middle of the Village and in front of La Bodega is totally flooded, the precinct car park is cordoned off, the fire brigade are there but just sitting in their truck.
We can't keep on having this happen it is unfair to the businesses, some of which get flooded and ridiculous for the Village, it rarely happened before now it is every time we have heavy rain, the Water Company and the Parish Council need to take action.

Yup it’s flooded further down lower road too, as it ALWAYS does. I agree it’s totally unfair on businesses and further up on lower road it is totally unfair on residents, especially as idiots with massive cars speed through it pushing the water down peoples drives and making it worse. Really frustrating.

Sadly the inadequate,  decrepit drainage system isn't able to cope with the extra population demands bought on by mass property building in recent years.

This was predicted years ago by the SENSE committee.

this is also due to the fact that HS2 is completely changing the local water table - they have already said they’re going to have to treat the Chiltern domestic supplies with more chemicals due to this so if they can sweep it all under the carpet they will do.

It’s not just flooding, it’s sewerage too. I’ve asked the relevant parties this morning (inc TW) who decides to pump the water out leaving sewerage on the pavement which is clearly a health hazard but I do not expect a response. It’s not fair for the new restaurant to have that on their front door. The name is Yaprak but I can see them being lumbered with a rather more unfortunate name. Shocking behaviour by the relevant authorities.
