They have put in a planning application to convert the shop into a residential house, perhaps their heart is no longer in the business. ------------- Sunray |

certainly quicker and friendlier service up at chalfont common post office, the one in mccolls is so hit and miss, sometimes 2 staff often only one, service slow too... just not great really, especially as it may be our only post office soon, and i hear mccolls are not renewing their lease and post office may move to the co-op? ------------- need a stella and i need one now ! |

MCCOLLS WANT TO DOWNGRADE POST OFFICE SERVICES NOW, i was told by a staff member last week.... they wish to simplify post office services now - long before their lease is up , IF this goes ahead we MAY loose the following services from CSP post office ALL PASSPORT SERVICES- check n send, passport renewals forms Etc ALL FOREIGN CURRENCY EXCHANGE SERVICES INTERNATIONAL DRIVING LICENCES / PERMITS MONEYGRAM FACILITY DVLA services NO MORE V documents, NO MORE ROAD FUND LICENCES we will end up with a stamps/ post parcel only type counter with very little else, not sure about energy key recharging, banking etc ?? - staff are asking customers to make their feelings known by logging onto www.postoffice.co.uk/feedback quoting office number 0569461 or by calling 0800 472322 denham has no post office.....we may go that way soon....  ------------- need a stella and i need one now ! |

they say its TBA, the post office staff are Mccolls staff but claim theyre being kept in the dark on this , but apparently the post office reduction of services could happen in weeks ......there is only one staff member in the full post office now.....but services may shift to the tiny ' post' counter by the door...
