This is a really odd email I received today from CDC / South Bucks.  They are requesting more plots of land for more housing development and other uses.  However, our main brown field sites in the village have either been developed or have planning permission.  In most of the cases they turned down the number of houses at Newland Park, Holy Cross, NSE and Winkers - yet I would prefer these to have been maximised rather than use green belt.  Didn't we also vote on a local village consultation?
Anyway, here's the email:

Dear Sir/Madam,

RE: Call for sites to inform the Chiltern & South Bucks Joint Local Plan

To assist the development of the emerging Joint Local Plan for Chiltern and South Bucks the councils are carrying out a ‘Call for Sites’ exercise to identify sites within both districts that may have potential for development over the plan period.

We would therefore invite landowners, agents or potential developers to put forward sites for consideration which might have potential for contributing towards Chiltern and South Bucks’ future needs for housing, specialist housing such as for older people or Gypsies and Travellers, employment uses, town centre uses, community facilities, mixed use developments, sport and recreation, no specific use, or other development uses where there is considered to be a specific or general need or opportunity over the period to 2036.

You do not need to be the landowner but ideally should provide information and the views of the landowner.

The Call for Sites will run from 3rd December 2018 to 14 January 2019 and will be used to update the Council’s Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment, which will be part of the evidence base for the new Local Plan.

Should you wish for us to consider a site within Chiltern and South Bucks, please complete and submit the form (available online at the below link), along with a map clearly identifying the boundary by the 14 January 2019. Sites submitted by the 14 January will be assessed as part of the Local Plan process, any sites after this deadline will be banked for future consideration. If you have previously submitted a site for consideration there is no need to resubmit.

Please note that the submission of a site provides no guarantee that it will be allocated in the new Local Plan, or allocated for the suggested use. Only suitable, available and achievable sites will be taken forward.

Each site nominated must be submitted via a completed form to ensure that the Councils have sufficient information to consider all nominations. Should you have any further queries, please contact the Planning Policy Team on 01494 586678 or by email at planningpolicy@chiltern.gov.uk or ldf@SouthBucks.gov.uk

All the relevant information and the site nomination form are available online at:
