Yesterday morning, there was an accident on the High Street involving my Mum who was hit by a car while crossing the road. I wonder if anyone actually saw what happened? Many thanks.

I hope your Mum is OK.

It might be worth contacting local shops close to the scene to see if they have CCTV footage.  You could be lucky

I walked past just after it happened and saw people were helping so didn’t interfere. I assumed the driver had pulled out of the precinct without seeing your Mum but I do not know for certain. I hope that she is doing well and send my best wishes.

Thank you MV Owner and AlpinaB5 for your replies. Yes, certainly worth considering looking at which shops etc have CCTV. Mum had surgery yesterday for her various injuries and faces further surgery over the next few days. A sad and frustrating time for her.

Hi my husband drove past after accident just happened and he thought  it looked like the driver had tried to avoid the pedestrian as a result of way the car was positioned as if she had stepped out and he had tried to avoid her. Hope she is ok. x
