Simple to make and apparently eating Aduki beans makes you lose weight.
1 onion - finely chopped 1-2 cloves garlic - finely chopped or minced handful of basil leaves olive oil carton/jar of pasatta 6-10 mushrooms - chopped veg stock powder - marigold is good water or red wine carrot - finely chopped (optional) red pepper - finely chopped (optional) stick of celery - finely chopped (optional) salt and black pepper
fry onion and garlic in a glug of olive oil till soft Add mushrooms and cover - sweat down, then remove lid to evaporate some of the liquid add aduki beans - half a bag of frozen of a tin or two if using tinned stir, then add pasatta and torn basil leaves cook on a low heat for ages - an hour or so - with the lid on
serve with spaghetti and a salad (rocket and parmesan with a drizzle of olive oil is good).

well your taking the greasy fatty minced meat out of the recipe and replacing it with a healthier option so yes you will lose wieght. If you 'need/want' to eat meat then may i suggest that you 'reduce' the amount of meat in a recipe and add beans/lentils to 'make it up' (thats what i do)

Agreed although what I meant was that aduki beans help balance metabolism which in turn helps with weight loss. You still need to burn more than you chew if you want to lose weight, fatty minced meat or no fatty minced meat.
