Im thinking of getting a laptop next month.. But the pc is about 50quid cheaper and with more gadets. whats the pros n cons of eachone? ------------- Voice of An angel |

well iv never had a desktop pc, i just went straight for a laptop. I only use it for surfing, downloading music and transfering pics from my mobile via bluetooth, my laptop is perfik! I can sit on the sofa with the telly on or even in bed with a cup of cocoa and chat to you guys on the forum, i recommend a laptop! ------------- i am happy!! Pierre is just intoxicated |

oh and you can take it any where you like! *You could take it to work and catch up with your accounts online *take it camping with you (if your conected to the mains of corse) in case it rains *on the train (depending on battery life and lenght of travel) *just to the park whilst your little one is playing on the swings *your dads house so you dont have to hog his pc

i got mine brand new from dixons for 500 including bag, mouse ect.... Its only a didy toshiba, i dont need anything else! ------------- i am happy!! Pierre is just intoxicated |

Desktops give you more power for your penny. Ideal if you want to play games and do stuff with software that is very demanding. Laptops are ideal for students (who aren't like me and playing agmes a lot) for work on the move and stuff. :) Not as good value bits wise, but way more convenient. Laptops are just as good as PC's, the only difference is that a PC you can repair /upgrade easy but laptops if they go wrong its normally a new laptop the big advantage like Kate says you can have your laptop with you where you go, use it almost anywhere...

i use talk talk, i pay £21.99 a month for broadband and telephone, all calls apart from mobiles are free at anytime, anywhere including loadsa countries but i duno any1 abroad ------------- i am happy!! Pierre is just intoxicated |

hey hey... i've had both. pros of laptop: you can take it anywhere, have it on a desk next to your bed. etc cons: not really a 'lap'top as you can't have it on your lap as it will over heat, and if your male boil your sperm (apperently). you can't really upgrade the hardware unless you buy more expensive external add on's or a box. if anything goes wrong the whole thing if f**ked, also watch out when you close the lid as the screen smashes easily. pc pros: bigger screen, more power, etc, easy to upgrade, cheaper cons: big and very immobile |

Well this is a really hard one as i use both quite alot my macbook is great, quiet (most of the time), and portable i can even control my mums car radio with it, wirelessly, which is a really good pont to have, dektopss are often more reliable and if you dont want to run the, risk of a battery dying or exploding, but i seriously recomend the lappy ------------- Viva La Revouloution, Macs for the future |
