I don't think this is what we all thought of when we heard the words 'Turkish' and 'Restaurant'. The words 'kebab' and 'hut' may have been more descriptive.

Yes, all looks a bit tacky doesn't it.

I say we have our meal out at the kebab van instead.

Looking at the menu, it's as close to a fast food joint
as Chalfont or Gerrard Cross has ever come. The
planners turned down McDonalds when they tried to
take over the Volvo garage six years ago (now it's a
Tescos traffic snarler) on the basis "we don't do
hamburger joints around here". Just hope it doesn't
drive Mustapha and the little yellow van away. He
keeps our mean streets safe!

I'll give them a go! when is their opening night?

I still think the best kebabs are from the bloke at the roundabout at Cressex, second is Dennis's in wycombe, third the shop in yewsley high st.

strangely, I find kebabs taste better from a van!... although lager may have some influence upon my decisions!

I'm a-gagging-for-a-kebabbing!!!!

anybody know when Flames is opening?

I need a kebab to get rid of the taste of my wifes cooking!

(ps my wifes "cooking" consists of getting in the car and driving to sunrise's for something with chips)

at least with a kebab I get salad!!

Rachael is going to go over today I think. Apparently, the seating area out the back may well be a proper restaurant - though having to walk past the kebabs and burgers might put some people off!

Not open yet - looks like it's almost ready though, apart from a whacking great neon sign, which I'm sure will arrive soon!

Just spoke to manager of Flames, apparentley opening next wednesday, asked if i could see there restraunt menu and they are still at the printers, and he will bring one over when they come back from the printers. He showed me round and it can seat maybe 30 -40 people out the back, if you can remember the old wine bar, where the kitchens used to be that is now the seating area, with a door to keep it private from the take away area, they seem very polite and handed me there take away menu anyway, and promised to give me a copy of the restraunt menu in the very near future. I will keep you posted
