ok, southern cousins, ye didnae like the haggis, fair enough, but try a traditional scottish dessert,

enjoy

 

Ingredients:
3 oz (half cup) pinhead or coarse oatmeal
Half pint double cream
1 tablespoon Drambuie (optional)

Method:
Toast the oatmeal in a frying pan on a high heat until lightly brown. Whisk the cream into a soft consistency and mix in the oatmeal and Drambuie (alternatively, use a few drops vanilla essence or other flavouring of your choice). Serve in tall glasses. A popular variation is to mix in 6oz (one and a half cups) of fresh raspberries. Or use vanilla ice cream instead of cream.

 

personally I would mix in raspberries or strawberries

Oh yeah! Half a pint of double cream REALLY healthy!

Cream is heathy natural fat not processed so body can break down

This is the one I use all the time, even the kids love it even with whisky in it.

Ingredients

570ml/1 pint double cream

85g/3oz porridge oats

7 tbsp whisky

3 tbsp honey

450g/1lb raspberries

fresh mint, to garnish

Method

1. Toast the oats in a frying pan, being careful not to burn them.

2. Lightly whip the cream until it reaches the soft peak stage, then fold in the whisky, honey,

oatmeal and raspberries.

3. Serve in dessert glasses garnished with a few raspberries and mint.
