It's a free country, adopt whatever PC stance you want. Just don't tell me which stance I should take just because it clashes with your opinion.

It’s ok to persecute smokers, so what about fat people?

Britain's obesity death rate

by JAMES CHAPMAN, Daily Mail 08:18am 12th March 2003

Are we becoming a nation of overweight people?

More people are dying in Britain due to being overweight or obese than anywhere else in Europe, a study revealed yesterday.

Around one in every 11 deaths in the UK is now linked to carrying excess fat - 50 per cent more than the rate in France.

Experts also warned that the number of fatalities due to obesity may soon, for the first time, exceed those caused by smoking

If four fat people sit at a table in a restaurant. they are no problem to me, they keep there fat in that big bag of skin. Being fat is there problem.
If one them smokes, that becomes a problem to me and many offers. they don't keep the smoke to them selves.

No matter what help there is to help you stop smoking. you will only give up if you want too. I know, I used to smoke 20-30 a day. I have not smoked for 19 years now.

But I think you would have a lot to say if you were sitting next to some one who is obese on an aeroplane....

I can see what fonte is saying, its not Pc to turn round and say to someone 'your fat get away you disgust me' but yet its acceptable for someone to turn round to someone whose smoking a fag ' your smoking, you stink get away from me', or ram it down your throat 'do you know what those cigs are doing to you eehhh','dont you want to see your kids grow up' but you turn round and say to a fat person whose munching on a big fat jammy donut 'do you know what that donut is doing to you' 'god arnt you thinking of your kids' If you came out with remarks like that they would have up for some charge or another.

Well I still say that operation woman, Mrs creosote or whatever her name is, is a fat slug.

I needed major surgery nearly 2 years ago . The surgeon said he wnted me to stop smoking . I quit there and then, haven't smoked since. why can't that lump of lard lose weight?

I've put a bit of weight on in the last year, so although my BMI is fine I have a bit of a belly. I'm determined to lose this extra weight , not by dieting, just by eating less (ie drink less alcohol in reality). All this exercise to lose weight crap IS crap . The only proper way to lose surplus weight is to eat less.Exercise is just an added bonus that helps your health in other ways.
