What has the Waltond got to do with "night"

Shame on those who cannot see the connection between JohnBoy and Night.

At the end of the long running series The Waltons (set in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia) they always ended with a long shot of the house from outside and each person in their bed would call out "Goodnight" to all the family members as the lights went out.

Nearly always the last call was "Night John-Boy".

I used to quite like the Waltons.

If I remember rightly I fancied the eldest daughter, whatever her name was.

That would be Mary Ellen.

Are you sure? Rather you than me.

The final call was usually Goodnight Everybody,
apart from the episode when Mary Ellen had John
Curtis, and he started to cry and all the lights went
on.
John Boy Walton was played by two different actors.
The guy who played Erin's ex-fiance Ashley
Longworth Junior went on to become Commander
Ryker in Star Trek The Next Generation.

I'm proud to have had lunch in Waltons country.

Point taken, Malc, but being as the show was only shown here in Kiddiwinks hour, I may be excused for not watching it....

Condoms should be used on every conceivable occasion.

It ran for about 10 years and was generally shown over here on Sunday mornings around 11.00am.

Sort of programme you wouldn't go out of your way to watch but found yourself enjoying if you happened to catch it.
