Topic: Sandwiches Posted: 20 January 2005 at 6:29pm |
I'm still compiling my book on Sandwiches so please let me have any interesting ones you come across.
Apple & Raisin Chutney with Stilton cheese on crusty white bread is one I like.
Had one of Halls Cornish pasties today for lunch with a bit of brown sauce. Delicious.

I'm a great advocate of making your own sandwiches, then you know that
the ingredients are top quality and are exactly what you want.
I'd be interested to know what others think of sandwiches you can buy
in supermarkets or sandwich bars - which are good (& good value)
and which are poor.

There's a sandwich on sale here which claim to be Jalapeno Cheddar! It's served on a bloomer style bread and looks quite tasty, but unfortunately (for me anyway) it comes with tomatoes.

One of my faves would have to be toasted (in a Foreman grill!) pesto, cheese and tomato.

Toasted sandwiches are my favourite, cheese and loads of onions, but first spread the bread with english mustard, then add your cheese and onion mix. Yum Yum
