A TEENAGER has been charged in connection with a number of thefts from vehicles in Chalfont St Peter.Greg Sickenger, who is 18 and lives in Middle Meadow, was charged with four counts of theft from motor vehicles on Wednesday last week (March 31). He is due to appear at Wycombe Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, April 14. Mr Sickenger was charged following a number of thefts from vehicles overnight on Wednesday last week in a number of roads in Chalfont St Peter. In an unrelated case, a number of men have also been charged with conspiring to commit a burglary in the village last month. Jack Hearne, 21, of Windsor, Jack Brown, 19, of Flackwell Heath, Nathan Wicks, 23, of Slough and James Waters, 23, of Slough, have been charged with conspiracy to steal from motor vehicles in the Wycombe district and Berkshire. They have also been charged with conspiring to commit a burglary in Lower Road, Chalfont St Peter, in the early hours of March 19. Their next court appearance is at Aylesbury Crown Court tomorrow (Friday). Detective Sergeant Gill Fox from Burnham police station, the officer in charge of the investigation, said: "Serious acquisitive crime has fallen markedly in South Bucks over the past months due to heightened police activity. "I would like to use this opportunity to remind people that we are very keen on information about criminal activity." |
