As reporters do not write headlines it is not an issue
we have to deal with.
Headlines are written by sub editors.

Hey it's just the facts.

Luke has knocked on the doors and pressed the
buttons on the intercoms of two homes in Fulmer
close to the cricket field. Unfortunately neither
householder was willing to comment about the story.

Here's a different tack then Sarah.

Why not interview the Cricket club and ask them if they think it's funny to call an 80 year old who is hit by a ball while in a neighbouring garden "an old git" or words to that effect.

Ask them if they think it's funny, when practising, deliberately to hit balls over the boundary into a neighbouring garden. (I know they did it deliberately, as they practised OFF the square nearer the boundary and cheered when the balls went into the garden).

These incidents took place several years ago but I have to say that I found the people associated with the club then an arrogant bunch. Rich chavs I'd call them.

I don't condone the actions of the deranged person who is damaging the square but I'm just pointing out that there are two sides to this.

Is this libellous too btw?
