Clamper
14/06/05 Tuesday afternoon in St Peters Court precinct, Chalfont St Peter, outside the paper shop I witnessed the clamper, in action clamping a car that was parked in the disabled bay with no obvious badge on display, as he is doing the paperwork he notices an elderly disabled Lady shuffling with her walker coming out of the clothes shop, he takes a photo of the car and phones it through to his company office, when the old ladies daughter comes out of the shop and is informed she has been clamped she is physically shocked and upset , so obviously this man is just doing his job….well about fifteen minutes earlier there was a large car parked half on the kerb outside the Post Office directly behind the first parking disabled bay and the clamper was just putting the chains round the front wheel when the owner came out of the paper shop clutching his two bottles of water, now I don’t know what he said or did but the clamper took it off and walked away! In this day and age when every motorist hates clampers with a vengeance you would have thought a bit of common sense would prevail here.
