Since the beginning of this year I have had two deliveries gone missing or lost in transit courtesy of our local Hermes courier.
From what I can gather from fellow neighbours and friends living elsewhere in CSP these are not isolated issues. On both occasions I have been fobbed of by Hermes customer care and although fully refunded it's still annoying as due to lockdown many shops are shut and it's a waste of my time and energy chasing these idiots up. My advice is be very weary of ordering anything which is delivered locally by our Hermes courier. 🤨

The same here brewski. Its difficult to judge whether it is incompetence or fraud.

Generally speaking i've found them ok. Use them to send and receive. Only glaring example is when they 'lost' a new bike for my son at the height of the first pandemic...

I find them excellent, more specifically their driver Lisa is excellent, in the last couple of years I have not had a single issue with Hermes, she even picks up returns from my house when she’s passing. I wonder if different areas have different drivers maybe?

Spare a thought for the drivers of Hermes - they are one of the worst courier companies to work for - last time I heard they were paying around 50p per drop to their drivers

They certainly don't get paid well, but thought courier pay was fairly similar across the industry. It is also why it isn't in their interest to not deliver a parcel which can work both ways.

I have had problems with Hermes.
Parcel did not arrive. On making enquiries, I was told it had been delivered. So, it had same number house, just the wrong street. Photo of door was shown, and after driving around my husband spotted what looked like the door. The lady of the house was just on her way to deliver it to us herself. Bad delivery!! good lady!!! |

I had no problem when it was the lovely lady who delivered, but i've not seen her deliver anything for ages.

Yes she's still about, saw her yesterday delivering next door while I was homeschooling and gazing out of the window longingly at the world gave me a big wave and smile....
