For all
those vaguely interested, Thames Valley Police continues its race to distance
itself from the public. Not that long ago, we had a main station at Amersham
and another at Gerrards Cross, both with public front counters. Local offices
were to be found at Chal St. Peter and Beaconsfield, with another office at
Iver having a front counter; all designed with neighbourhood and actual
physical community contact in mind. These were all dispensed with ( the public
being too troublesome I presume) and the latest ‘initiative’ is to close the
front counter at Amersham to make really sure they don’t come into contact with
us. There is a ‘public consultation’ taking place at this moment which is so
carefully hidden that it may lead to the presumption that they don’t want
anyone to find it.
Dig it out and have your say by all means, but I cannot help but think the decision is already made. If you actually want to talk to someone, Slough, Aylesbury and High Wycombe are your best shots. Good luck all. |

Thanks you for posting that, very informative! It's incredibly frustrating the way our services are being eroded.
