I caught the end of something called "Love Me, Love My Kids" last night in which a persons children find a date for their parent. Last nights was a divorced father of four kids whose kids chose a date out of two possibles having spent the day with them.

Didn't this seem a bit odd and possibly a bit sick? What about the emotional stress on that persons kids? Not only do they have to cope with their parents marriage break-up, but they have to choose who their Dad dates as a replacement of their Mum!

BBC as well!

I think it depends. How long had this man been divorced? Was his ex-wife happy for her kids to do this (surely they must of got her permission)?

No one really cares if you are miserable so you might was well be happy. (Cynthia Nelms)

The kids seemed happy to do it.  They said they would like to see their father happy, and as he wasn't doing anything about it did something about it for him.

I don't know. It says he hadn't been on a date for 3 years but some of the kids looked quite young.

The youngest was 6, I think he had been divorced about 4 years.

The blurb...

The series will see single parents from all over Britain hand over control of their love-lives to those who know them best…their children. Will the kids have better luck - or judgement! - when it comes to finding that illusive suitor?

20 suitable singletons are invited to compete for our single parent's heart, but they're expecting a speed-date with an adult… not a panel of children.

Why are you still single? How well can you cook? How often do you wash? Can you sing or dance? Do you think you're attractive to the opposite sex? These are just some of the questions our potential date must answer.

The children then face the hard task of choosing two Dates from the 20. Both will then spend a weekend apiece at the family house to see if romance blossoms!

Have the kids got the same ideas as Mum or Dad about who is Mr. or Ms. Right? Will the dates try to impress the adult… or the children in order to win-over the family and win over their rival? Who will the children choose to go on a romantic Final Date alone with their parent? Can kids really play Cupid?

I don't know. If you youngest was only six years old I don't suppose he had much say in the matter.

This is a series, not a one off by the way.
