This afternoon I became all nostalgic and purchased and consumed a Mr Whippy ice cream from an ice cream van after hearing it's tune arriving in my neighbouthood.
I initially popped out to direct him to Leachcroft but ended up buying an ice cream.
Since then to put it bluntly I have had the trotts and some severe stomach cramps. I just want to ask if anyone knows what standards these unwashed have to abide by. Are there any food hygiene standards that they have to adhere to? Now thinking about it the noise pollution also gets right up my nose. Those silly tunes blaring out while I'm trying romance my young lady in the back garden in my Speedos while BBQing a few burgers in this great summer sunshine. Please just be careful as right now I'm in serious trouble with my guts...i might have to sleep in the bath. Best regards |

You have to be careful what you say but I suggest you tell the young ‘uns that the noise they make indicated they have sold out of all their ice cream. The vans are about 40 years old, and are probably on a par with street hot dog salesmen in the west End. The results will probably be very similar. The Co-op’s Magnums May be more expensive but......

I don't know about what standards they have to abide by, but as for the noise pollution, whatever happened to Greensleeves? I've heard an ice cream van going round the area playing the "Birdie song"!!!!
