When we first moved here in 2007, we took BT broadband, but quickly realised that the speed was rubbish - presumably due to distance from the exchange in Gerrards Cross among other factors. So we changed to Virgin cable and have found it generally pretty good. Only problem is that Virgin are pretty expensive for the TV package we want (lots of sport) compared to BT or Sky. Just wondered if anyone has BT's new fibre internet, or uses Sky broadband, and what the speed is like.

Thanks,

Ed

You get BT Sport free with TV XL from virgin media. You should be getting about 30 or 60mb with virgin. BT Firbre can't get anywhere near that.
Is back in the game! :)

http://www.speedtest.net/ is one way, although it's not 100% accurate.

BT Infinity - Download 63.7Mbps  Upload 15.29Mbps

had it for about 15 months - speed hardly varies - and never had a problem.

Previous "old" BT broadband was about 5Mbps
