Many people inadvertently go over the limit for sometimes only a few minutes. As the majority of drivers break the speed limit, it shows the limits are often too low. Pleased to see the A40 reduction to 50 mph westbound has reverted to 70mph. |

I personally would rather the police did something about the idiots who use their mobile phones while driving. Every single day while driving to work I see at least 4 or 5 people doing this. To my mind this is more dangerous than speeding but it's more difficult to spot, so i have no doubt the police will still continue to target speeders or people flashing their lights, which is the easier option

Apprently, this is what ive been told, speeding is an offence whereas say burglary is a crime.

Yep - you don't get a criminal record for speeding but you do for burglary

Santos reportedly drove up to 145mph and was fined.
