I recommend the home made Portuguese custard tarts. They just need to take out the wall between the counter and the area with tables to let some natural light in. Nice laid back feel to the place

Spoken to Merderia today. Its a family run business from the home country itself. Very lovely family, they are planning on extending the coffee shop into the Hillingdon building to create a restuarant with authentic portuguese dishes.

Looks very promising.
Open from 7am til 7pm Mon to Fri and 8am til 7pm weekends.

I would welcome that.  There used to be a nice Portugese restaurant in Rayners Lane doing a fantastic Chicken Piri Piri but it went out of business.

So a business which is currently operating in contravention of the planning regulations is going to extend and open a restaurant in premises which have  already been refused planning permission for a restaurant (and lost the subsequent appeal).

Wonderful, just the kind of behaviour we need to encourage.
