Ok, bad word, sorry, my English is  good but I'd like to learn more and practice this language, improve it. I've been learning it for 9 years. Nowadays,English is indispensable and I know how important is contact with people, who speak it, so that's the main reason why I want to come to UK.

That is not unusual.  Those learning a language, not that of their birth, will usually have a better knowledge of the grammar.  Learn a language from birth and you pick up all the non-grammatical colloquialisms.  Apart from the fact that grammar is no longer part of the educational curriculum. I would just like to add that BuzzBunny's written English is better than most of the muppets that use this site.

Additionally, I find it strange that other Europeans seem to have a better grasp of English grammar than the English themselves.

Good luck Buzz.

I speak English fluenty, and am very good at it, but that doesn't mean that I can't improve, or for that matter that my standards don't fall quite regularly on a Friday night after a few jars Wink

All I was pointing out was that he claims to be both "speak English fluently" and "with very good English", but then goes on to say "I'd like to ... improve my English"

just a little odd if you ask me

I think you are all being very judgemental / blinkered - if he is a student looking to improve his English & earn money to further his education and has a National Insurance no, then why not?  If it was a female looking for work as an au pair no one would make the assumptions you are!

Why would I want to look at your photos? And why do you want to improve your English when you say you already speak it fluently?
