My understanding is that this was changed a couple of years ago? I believe that everyone working full time hours is now entitled to a minimum of 4 weeks paid holiday, with statutory bank holidays on top. If people choose to work them they are entitled to extra money/extra holiday but the point is they have a CHOICE not to work them now, as per Sundays.

I think we shall go to Chester tomorow and see the sights and use up the last few pennies available on my credit card (and it really is only a few!)

Yes i agree apparently you have a choice in a "regular" job, and other jobs where you have to work bank holidays then the days are added to your annual leave enititlement.
