I've eaten at Cape Fish quite a few times, though only at lunchtime, when it's been fairly quiet. Apparently, the relatively bare interior makes it very noisy when it's full in the evenings.
Being a (not very strict) pesco-vegan, I'm a bit of a fish restaurant aficionado and it compares very well with some of the best London seafood specialist restaurants.
Staff are well informed and helpful, plus you get a full description of flavour and texture of fish of the day.
The tiniest thing annoys me a tincy bit. They use the label "line fish" for fish of the day. You have to read the small print to understand that "line fish" is a South African expression which actually just means catch of the day, not that it was caught on a line. Picky, huh?
Actually, I've not eaten there since 14/12/2006 - must be due another trip soon

For those that don't know the guys who own Cape Fish also own Due South in Bourne End (used to be Poco Loco). They do pizza and pasta but with a South African twist - guarantee you'll never have seen the toppings before. Lay out very similar - relaxed unfussy atmosphere with superb food. Also during the week they allow children to make their own pizzas during the day - messy but great fun. Would highly recommend trying it in the evening for something different and reasonable.
