I always thought the Advertiser was rather informative, the housing section is a pull out.
Does your column need to be specifically about looking for love? How about broaden it to a "week in the life of a young local"

Jessama, you are certainly not too old to offer your
opinion. Sadly, it would seem that not enough
youngsters buy our paper, so, in a bid to boost
readership across the age groups, we are busy
thinking of ways to entice the 16-30 crowd. Our aim
is to involve/reach out to the community as a whole.

or how about covering things to do in the area from the mundane such as dating, pubs, sports to the peculiar - might be an inspiration for the parents of all the yobs who have "nuffink to do"

Hi Rob,
I live in West Drayton so unfortunately I don't qualify
as a local. We have already discussed this in the
office and agree that I wouldn't be able to offer a
realistic critique of life for a 24-year-old in the village
if I don't actually live here.
Thanks anyway!
Sean.

you need to be careful you dont have the opposite effect, the demographic of CSP leans very much towards the older person. If not many 20-30 year olds live in the village it will be very difficult to have stories which involve them.

I gather that Winkers has put in a planning application to build housing on their land. Cover that, and the future for Winkers, and you'll get the youngsters reading the paper.

I think it would be good for the paper and its readers to get a perspective from someone who lives outside the bubble, from my POV a column solely based around CSP would be a little dull. (I'm a 25 year old living in the local area and most of the interesting
stuff that happens to me occurs outside the local area). I would definitely be interested in reading an anecdotal column written by someone with whom I can empathise regarding the issues young twentysomething professionals are facing.
