They have been telling us for weeks snow is heading this way and still hasnt arrived yet

www.metcheck.com has a latest snow forecast that's updated regularly. Looks like we may get some from Sunday.

Hi Tobic, I live opposite Gold Hill and I can tell you that sledging is still very much part of the local life - even when there's no snow!! We regularly get woken up about midnight or later when the teenagers come out sledging after the pub/winkers on bin bags, and estate agents boards, and anything else they can get their hands on. Seen some horific near misses little where kids toboggan right down the hill, without a parent at the bottom to 'catch them' and they've ended up in the road on Gold Hill North. Must take a photo of the sledging next time for Dans map.

i agree, we always had a few near misses, although I seem to remember there used to be a raised sort of pathway going across at the bottom, that always helped stop us........lol

the most awesome sledge i have is a sheet of marine ply with two cut down old dynastar skis on as runners, -its heavy but it flies !

We used to go along to the golf club to do our sledging - much bigger hill.
