Went there last night, very busy night, the service was not good we waited from 8.30 till 9.40 for our meal i think we only got it then because we asked how much longer was it going to be. We ordered a cobra beer that took an hour to get it.

We also ordered Veggie samoas and meat samosa arrived one of our prawn dishes was overcooked.

Table of 8 we got our poppudoms with only 1 condiment set we asked for another that turned up when we had finished our main meal.

Overall not very impressed, when we complained at the end of the meal, they took all these items of the bill and apoligised,  left there don't think i will go back

I wonder if the new owner will be Aziz, who runs the Chorleywood Sarthi.  It's fantastic though I haven't been for 2 or 3 years - I've become so suburban now I live in a village with facilities - I DO NOT want to go out in my car in the evening, it's nice to use places where you can walk to - so it might not even be there any more.  Aziz is really nice, and friendly - great food too.

No, it's not closing. The group who own it are selling it within the family so there will be a change of ownership in the next week or so.

The new owner will keep the chef and staff and make some changes, one being a licence.  Some other minor changes to the interior are planned.

So , business as usual as far as we are concerned.

What's closing - Tripti or Sreethi?

I would have thought you were referring to Sreethi, as I think I heard a rumour on this site that the lease was up for sale.

It's a shame if it does close, but it was a bit daft to open a 3rd Indian restaurant in a place a small as CStP, especially when the other two are good so they'd have a lot to compete with.    Somebody didn't do their market research, ha ha!

Decided to phone up and try a delivery on Saturday night on the recommendation of those above - but they were too busy so collected anyway.  It was very good, the Dhansak wasn't quite as good as the Tripti but I tried a Mirch Massalla Chicken (spiced up to vin da loo strength) and was very very tasty.

Usually only use the Tripti as that has thick sauces and best chicken.  Only downside with them is that each year they send a christmas card to me and an ex rather than me and the wife!!
