Mon Dieu Pierre!!......a Grandad?....surely not, far too young! (though I s'pose if Mick Jaggers a Grandadddy and still rocking on.... )
Was actually coming over to visit the rellies this month, but unfortunately Mr G is none too flash at the moment (he too had a ride in one of those air ambulance helicopters that they are currently discussing on the Slough forum - though not a Slough one you understand!).....so the UK visit was cancelled.
But fear not, I shall be back to that Green and Pleasant land one day, meanwhile I will watch re-runs of Midsomer Murder, to remind me of what I am missing - the countryside! (not the murders!)

Alas no, I never made it to the canalfest (somebody never let anybody know Richard Hill! we mean you!!)
muttleys Brilliant! no, not you... (we have a mate on the forum called muttley too. )
He's been sitting sharing a packet of crisps with my grandson. Jake takes a bite, Muttley takes a bite etc!
Life is getting better! the music is going mental! we played at Henley Regatta and word of mouth has inundated us with bookings!
when are you returning to Blighty again? we'll get the buntings out for you!
