Have you gone off Australian Chardonnays? I have, I find them too heavy-bodied. Much prefer the lighter Italian wines like Pinot Grigio, you drink so much more of it. Soave or Frascati are also both pleasant on a Summers evening, sipping a glass or three whilst sitting on the patio. Cheers.

Yes I've got into the rose. Lovely on a hot summers evening.

Also I'm a Pinot fan....

I'm also a rose lover (we should call them blush if we are going to be posh and proper!)..my fave is a white zinfandel, but i also like the white grenache..both are very drinkable!

Blossom Hill white Zinfandel tastes like fruit squash

Gallo is just as bad.

Avoid Blossom Hill and Gallo anything

Tescos do a nice Chilean Rosé, and the French rosé's from Provence (the vin de pays not expensive ones) are nice

I have gone off some of the Australian chardonnays as they can sometimes be too heavy. I like Californian (although I do prefer a Colombard to a chardonnay) as well as the Pinot.

Yup!  Typically warm-climate and oaked.  Perhaps try Montana East Coast Chardonnay instead - much lighter style from cool-climate New Zealand.
