Yes here's a question for the Bucks Ad.....why don't you send reporters who actually listen to what they are being told??
See Page 3 Jan 31st edition for a total fabrication of a story about Des Res homeware closing down!!!

Just for the record, this is what was ACTUALLY said;

Re Funeral Parlour.
The comment was that Des Res homeware was a little too far up the hill for some people and one of the only shops further up the hill were the 'undertakers' and nobody really wants to go there!
As for how well the Undertakers (and anybody else for that matter) are doing I really wouldn't have a clue and to be honest wouldn't really concern myself with.

Yes there is far too much repetition in the village, it could be so much better for everyone but the damage has already been done.

As for the villagers being 'tight'.  Well, being a shopkeeper you see all sorts and by no means were all of our customers tight. You will always get the odd few as does everyone else but the way Bucks Advertiser worded the story it would seem that they were out to upset people.

I have a word of advice to the Bucks Advertiser, When you send reporters out to collect interviews make sure that they are capable of reading their own 'shorthand' notes and, if they have doubts, it would wiser to contact the person interviewed to clarify any points before going to print.

let's be careful out there
