For instance, if you live in London, you are a Londoner, so what are you if you live in Chalfont? A Chalfonter? A Chalfontite?

Answers on a postcard to the usual address!

I like Chalfontonian - it has more of a classy ring to it.

Although Chalfontonian does have an air of class about it, it is a bit of a mouthful. How about a Chalfontian, I think it still has a classy ring to it but is less of a mouthful.

Chalfite?  Of course it's worth remembering there are 4 Chalfonts (including St Malc) so perhaps we need to be more specific.

A Chalpete?

Can anyone shed any light on this question - what are people who live in Chalfont St Peter (like me) supposed to call themselves?

Is it Chalfontite?
St Peterite?
Chalfontian?
Chalfontonian?

But what if snoop dodgy dog has to fetch a bone in, for instance, denham, and someone asks snooper what kind of a dog they are. To say they are a "local dog" is a bit vague.........

Wasn't quite the idea I had in mind but if I my owner was to take me to Denham I would be a HOT DOG. Ho ho.

Go back to bed, Sleeper.

does that mean if you went to say frankfurt, you would be a sausage dog, or if you came from Times square in NY you would be a watch dog ?
