With all this talk of not smoking perhaps a village pub will try a smoke free before it becomes law, Having a drink with out being tempted.

I don't smoke but I don't mind if people do. I think alot of fuss is made about it. If you are eating then fair enough but I think it will be banned from all pubs eventually and that will be going too far.

I don't mind people smoking, it's just me having to inhale it as well I dislike and having clothes reek of it after a night out in a pub.

I honestly couldn't get to the bar in Poachers due to the smoke.

If there was adequate filtering of air then perhaps it wouldn't be so bad.

Poachers on a Saturday is terrible.

Helen

The best incentive I found to help give up smoking is to find someone else who trying to give up. Then you know that if you start smoking again they will never let you live it down!

(Sorry it has taken so long to make a post but I have just got back from Dubai  )

do like Mrs Mad did, go to the doctor who sent her round to the local hospital where they checked her out and gave her regular pep talks and nicotine patches.

I think people are lucky when they go into a smoky pub. They probably smoke 10 fags in an evening and don' t pay for any. It's saved me a fortune over the years.

I gave up on December 31 and used the patches for
six days and have been completely smoke free since
then.
Will power and avoiding temptation, plus really
wanting to give up are the key things.

Thinking about giving up but don't want to half heartedly commit to it, though I'm not sure why I smoke which should be reason enough to stop (i.e. it's just habit, which can be broken). I reckon I could manage fine without apart from when I am in a pub and / or drinking.
