are we all part of CDC's latest recycling scheme with the kitchen waste bucket and the larger one for outdoor starage?

week commencing:

7th march, food scraps and paper.

14th, general crap and glass.

21st, food scraps and paper.

28th, general crap

what about metal packaging, i.e. stella and coke cans, food tins and the like?

We take the cans / tins plastic bottles down to the Church Lane car park.  I already put the kitchen stuff in a container at the back of the garden.

well i just got mine this morning, its crazy what the flip can you fit in that and in my beautiful kitchen where that going! had the council thought about putting eyesores in our kitchens and green may i ask you! they could have least given us a colour choice to match our kitchens. You may well say put it in the garden but i have two labs that will think it is a new toy and will chew it and toss it all around the garden. i think it would make a very good planter for my pond and far more useful.

i totally agree helen, my little one piled all his duplo trainset in the big one, its fits nicely.... the little one is rediculous..... but i did find if you put ice in the bottom of it add about 2 litres of water then place 6 cans of stella in there it keeps your beer cold for about 3 hours......

i have an idea for a new thread.... what do you do with your green bucket- 101 different uses !

need a stella and i need one now !

think about it helen, we do need as a society to get a grip on recycling, but if they only collect glass once a month think about those without cars... how do they carry a box full of glass to the church road recyling point   in the meantime, we fill our glass box every 2 weeks, jam jars, sauce bottles, beer and wine bottles- luckily i put em in the car and recycle, but those who dont have access to a car will find it tough,

i can forsee if the waste is not collected it will be dumped, it already happens - you should know this Helen.......... look at all the rubbish and flytipping that goes on behind the shops in the market place !

the carpet business has installed CCTV on its skip to film people putting waste into their facility !!!!!

you will see rubbish being dumped behind your shop, you mark my words !

need a stella and i need one now !

I haven't received my buckets....Wasn't even aware of this scheme.

Find it hard enough alternating between papers and bottle. let alone another thing for me to remember.

Are we looking at bag allocation. Over the specified amount will carry a charged.

Dog barking madly....It's arrived.

I'm sorry was this bucket things designed on the eating habits of Liz Harley

Cant wait to read my information pack.

Jingle bells....
