i thought friday was a public holiday in the US too. They don't get Easter monday off though. |

Nope. Neither is a public (Federal) holiday in the US.
However, being in the UK, you should be able to observe this holiday as it is a religious festival, not an arbitrary Bank Holiday, if memory serves.

If you work in the UK then you are entitled to UK Bank Holidays.
It is irrelevant that you work for a US company. |

Bank Holidays are not enshrined in law in this country as days off. Your company decides if you get them and can even make you use holiday to take them:
