I notice that most of the posters on this and other sites are part of the working community.   Just a thought, how many of your bosses know that you spend 8 hours a day glued to the screen waiting for a new post to come online........or do you do a quick log-on at teabreaks............

Or are there many like me, actively retired and only log on in the evenings..........???

Some people have the e-mail function to let them know about new posts, whereas others, like myself, sit here pressing F5 every minute!

It depends on what sort of day I'm having - today is quite quiet, so am on here more.

I do have the unfortunate pleasure of being at work, and I do tend to mostly access the site from here. I like to waste a bit of company time every now and again though to compensate for the occasional unpaid overtime and also to make up for all my wasted time sitting in pointless meetings!

I do get a bit worried sometimes though about bigbrother watching you..they seem to be blocking access to more and more sites here these days..does anyone know how that works - is there any way to stop them logging sites that you look at?

Ah yes Eddie, if you're referring to what I think you're referring to, there's a story behind that..my brother stored some stuff in our attic. He came to pick it up in a brand new hire van, unwittingly crashed the top of the van into the balcony, swung back the side door, and a tub of white emulsion fell out..
