Is this "token consultation" a prelude to close Chalfonts Hospital?

This is not directly related to our present campaign, but we feel it is of sufficent importance to let you all know.

Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust will be hosting events across the country, supposedly to talk about developing health services in the community and making the best use of community hospitals.

However similar public consultations, announced on the quiet, often seem to be a prelude to closing facilities altogether, using lack of local interest as their excuse.

The Chalfonts event will be held on,

Monday 23 August, 2pm - 3:30pm
Wednesday 8 September, 6pm - 7:30pm

you will actually have to book a place.

For more information or to book a place on any of the sessions, please RSVP to mailto:mailto@communications@buckshosp.nhs.uk - communications@buckshosp.nhs.uk or by calling 01494 734959.

IN order to save our hospital, we think it might be important to encourage as many residents as possible to book a place.

Is this still a possibility, what's the latest, is it still a live forum issue, there does not seem to be any posts since last August?
