Just for the record, Dan is away and usually does the moderating, but not knowing what internet access he would have, passed on the responsibility to a couple of us. 

The moderator group is just a name, it could have been called anything.  

You shouldn't notice anything different than before.

Well, if people didn't break the rules then we wouldn't need any moderators would we..

If there wasn't any crime then we wouldn't need the police force..

Point is, the rules need to be enforced, and perpetrators punished. Moderators are there for the good of all of us.
