My son recently discovered a web site which identifies all bomb sites locally. It is really interesting and yes the craters you have seen are WW2 bomb craters. Well spotted

Realise that this thread is quite old, but the CCB Lidar project (chilternsbeacons.org) shows up things like this in fields really well. Could someone confirm exactly which field these are visible in? There are hidden holes in fields all over the place created for all sorts of reasons but bomb craters are definitely of interest!
