Well done all!

I enjoyed the write up about Sir John Mills,
especially as I am a Denham boy and both my
parents are planted in St Marys!

A couple of years ago, whilst walking my dog I
stopped and passed the time of day with an elderly
lady, also excercising the hounds.

She told me that her dog had been attacked by
another dog and to save it's life it needed surgery.
She had little money and knew Sir John as a regular
walker (or hobbler!) and she asked him for a loan to
pay the vets bill, He paid outright for the dogs care
and refused to accept a penny (or sex!) from the
lady.

What a nice man.

I was also going to post this as I thought it was an excellent spread.

Well done.

I used to be with it. But then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems scary and weird.

Thanks very much for the feed back chaps.
Ben, Luke and I put in a lot of hard work pulling
together the tribute pages, and photographers Brian
and Tony did a great job finding the pictures we
needed.
Brian, Tony and I braved thunder, lightening,
torrential rain and hail to cover Sir John's funeral
which was extremely moving.
And our editor Peter beavered away at Uxbridge
taking down my copy over the phone.
We managed to get it all done with just 10 minutes
to spare, so it's great to receive such positive feed
back.
Thanks very much.

Many thanks for the kind words regarding our
coverage.

I understand Sir John's family were also pleased
with the tributes and photographs.
