Well, I'm still waiting for a reply on this....looks like any write up could go in an edition in July 2007 at this rate!

Still don't know what I want to do when I grow up...

I reckon you should go there and set the presses up yourself, Moggies.........least you know its done that way...

Condoms should be used on every conceivable occasion.

Presses are in Watford Tobic.

The company prints most of its newspapers for the South East there, and the Daily Mirror.

Chalfont has the Advertiser's three reporters, the news editor, content editor and a receptionist.

Shame none of them respond to emails sent to them about local events, or to queries in this forum, then!

I wonder if you sent it when the company's e-mail server went down for 48 hours last month.

If you ever need to contact a reporter it's always best to call during office hours. You're always guaranteed to speak with someone.

This was the first post in this thread which appears to invite contact throught this site and this thread, so I think Moggies has a valid complaint.  Perhaps, Moggies, you should use the personal email as shown in the first post.

The post doesn't say contact through the site, but actually puts the phone number first. I was still with the paper when it was posted, and the idea was to encourage people to phone the newsroom, and hope people would use this section to discuss stories etc.

I can't say what the situation is about monitoring the forum from the Chalfont office these days, as I don't work there any more.

Peter doesn't work for the paper, or in fact the company any more. The editor is Julie Voyce and her e-mail is julievoyce@trinitysouth.co.uk.

But as I said, if you desperately need to speak with someone, the only way to guarantee this 100 per cent is on the phone.

Good Morning,

Many thanks for your comments.

Unfortunately our reporters were not able to attend
every summer fair, fete or event over the last couple
of months.

Some of the ones we have covered include Chalfont
Fair, Denham Fair, GX Fun Run, C St P CofE School
Fair, Jordans Fair, Seer Green Cherry Pie Fair, C St
P Feast Day, C St P Infants School Fair, C St Giles
Strawberry Fair, Chiltern Cheshire Fete,
Beaconsfield Awareness Day, Stoke Poges Fair,
Fulmer Day - I expect I have missed a few off the list.

For any we can't attend, we urge people to send their
own photos and words in, and we will gladly try to get
a write-up into the paper.

I would also urge anyone who contacts the paper to
follow up on emails with a phone call. We are
flooded by emails every day, and sadly, the system
does on occasion fail and emails are sometimes
lost.

The current team of reporters is:
Luke Cross
Ben Smith
Sean O'Hare

We are all very keen to hear from you and can be
contacted on 01753 888333.

We do try to keep an eye on the forum - and as Sarah
kindly pointed out, we hope it will encourage people
to discuss stories or call in.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Luke

I should imagine that these school fairs generate a lot of sales of newspapers.

I emailed details of Robertswood School's Strawberry Fayre to you two weeks before the event. Included in the email were my details, including contact number.

I would have thought it only polite that if you realise you cannot possibly cover an event, you would have contacted me to let me know. Strange as it may seem, taking photos doesn't register as a huge priority to the organisers on the day, but I'm sure that if I had known about the problem in advance, that I could have asked others to take appropriate photos and send them through to you.

And what a shame that you could manage CSP infants but not Robertswood on the same day - or was that something to do with the fact that they had Linford Christie to open it? I would have thought your photographer could have spent 45 minutes at one event and then gone on to the other?

Last year you gave us a write up before and after the event - this year you couldn't even be bothered to write a few words at either stage. Shame on you Luke...How sad that the Bucks Ad has decided to ignore the least visible primary school in CSP yet again, whilst the CSPVA has given us more support than ever this year.

Still don't know what I want to do when I grow up...
