i have just hit the bucks free press web site to see their coverage on this incident, but i would be interested in the press statement from tesco on this, plus how could a project of this scale ( 20 million) go so wrong, - having been involved in big construction projects ( upto 106 million ) these groundwork issues should have been well and truly resloved before the first spade arrived on site !!!!!
there are reports of the project being overrun and contractors trying to make up lost time, - were corners cut ? were things rushed ? , but more importantly only a small number of tunnel sections collapsed, there are hundereds of others still buried under tonnes of ash and earth,, these are still over a main rail line..... and do they- tesco and jackson expect commuters to be willing to pass under these sections once the line is re-opened ?
if they have to be removed or re-inspected what will the total cost be and how long will the delays go on for ?
its gonna be a packed paper !
what is the long term options now for this project ?
