Tunnel collapse at Gerrards Cross.

Due to a tunnel collapse at Gerrards Cross, services are subject to major disruption. Services into London and out of London will be diverted via the Metropolitan line until further notice, however this will be a reduced service. Buses are running between Princes Risborough and West Ruislip calling at all stations, buses are also running between Aylesbury and Princes Risborough calling at stations along the branch line.

Virgin west coast and Virgin Cross country, First Great Western Link, LUL are accepting our tickets until further notice.

There is a rail shuttle service running between West Ruislip and London Marylebone calling at all stations apart from the Sudbury stations. These services are departing from afore mentioned services on the half hour and hour.

BBC breaking news:

Trains stopped over tunnel damage
Services on the Chiltern Line through Gerrards Cross have been suspended after 20 metres of a new supermarket car park collapsed over a rail tunnel.

A train driver reported seeing damage in the tunnel and two trains travelling in opposite directions were stopped.

Network Rail have sent engineers to the site where Tesco are building a store.

The Health and Safety Executive will be involved in an investigation and British Transport Police say trains will be disrupted for up to three days.

Christina Paul, an eyewitness on Packhorse Road in Gerrards Cross, said the collapse was near the Tesco's construction site.

It is believed there are tonnes of rubble on the line but no-one has been injured.

The line carries services between London and Midlands.
