Bar propping earlier ..new member of staff pulls up the other stool and lights up. I point out that it is no smoking at the bar.

I was not amused last night to get home just before 11 ready to crash into bed and find a woman still warbling in the Ethorpe garden, who I could hear very distinctly from my bedroom.
When I wandered in to the Ethorpe to politely inquire what time it would finish, the member of staff I spoke to was rude, unhelpful and unsympathetic, I was told "not sure, soon", and that "it will be on again in two weeks time, so you had better go out".
The Ethorpe are currently in the process of applying for an extension to their licence until 3am. In order to get it, they have to prove among other things that it will not cause a public nuisance. They are causing a publlic nuisance already. I hope it rains in two weeks time. I have no problem in principle with them having live music, I just wish they would do it inside.
